Florida is number one! Florida is number one for the third month in foreclosure activity. Even as overall foreclosure activity is falling nationwide, Florida continues to lead the charge in foreclosure activity. Even our very own South Florida received high marks nationally we received the distinction of 5th place for foreclosure activities.
Overall in Florida one in every 304 resident was involved in some type of foreclosure activity, which is over double the national average. The nation continues to drop in foreclosure activity, but due to Florida’s time consuming court proceedings for foreclosures Florida continues to top the charts for foreclosures. The activity in Florida has risen since a settlement from this spring from “robo-signing” cases.
